Performance art, as we call, is not well-known for many people since it started being identified as an art form. Well, it's not exactly a 'form' itself, and it's not easy to make a clear distinction among any other creative pieces. I do make a difference between performance art and 'performing' art because the latter is focused more on musical expression. I love the stance of 'happening' with or without stage setting. Something is surely 'happening' which should contain so much meanings by itself. Ms. RoseLee Goldberg, the notable historian,  mentioned brilliantly in her books on performance art, and if you are curious about it, you could take a look at it.
When I first learned performance art in the intermedia class, I was inspired by the sequence and deeper meanings inside it and I really wanted to explore more of what I could do about it.
